How Pindo collects, uses, and protects personal data across our Voice AI platform.

Last updated

At Pindo, your privacy is a first-class concern. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use pindo.ai and the Pindo Voice AI platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Pindo ("we", "us") builds Voice AI that lets people access services — banking, insurance, utilities — over an ordinary phone call, in their own language. When you interact with our website, or with a voice agent operated by one of our enterprise customers, Pindo may act either as a data controller (for our own website and account data) or as a data processor on behalf of that customer.

Data we collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company, and anything else you type into a contact or demo request form.

Voice and call data. When you speak with a Pindo voice agent, we process the audio of the call, transcripts derived from it, and metadata such as call time, duration, language, and outcome. Where our enterprise customer instructs us to, we retain recordings and transcripts on their behalf.

Usage and device data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs, collected automatically when you browse pindo.ai.

Cookies and analytics. We use cookies and product analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it. You can block cookies in your browser; parts of the site may then not work as intended.

How we use data

  • To provide, operate, and secure the Pindo platform.
  • To respond to your enquiries and deliver demos you request.
  • To improve speech recognition, language coverage, and agent quality.
  • To detect fraud, abuse, and threats to the service.
  • To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use the contents of enterprise customers' call data to train general-purpose models without that customer's written instruction.

Legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, your consent (which you may withdraw at any time), and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing

We share personal data with service providers who help us run the platform — cloud hosting, telephony carriers, speech processing, email delivery, and analytics — each under contract and only for the purposes we specify. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights, and in connection with a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as long as our enterprise customer instructs us to for data we process on their behalf, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege internal access, and monitoring to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, so we also maintain incident response procedures and will notify affected parties and regulators where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To exercise a right, contact us at [email protected]. If we process your data on behalf of an enterprise customer, we will refer your request to them.

International transfers

Pindo operates across multiple regions. Where personal data moves between countries, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as standard contractual clauses.

Children

The Pindo platform is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the last substantive revision. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
